NOTE:  We are now back in our home at 5308 65th Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98513 - so, please send ALL materiel for review to the Lacey address - that's Zzaj Productions, c/o Dick Metcalf, 5308 65th Avenue SE, Lacey, WA 98513!  I still don't have COMCAST available yet, so please use zzajunique@hotmail.com until I'm able to get high-speed in the house again!

We don't take poetry submissions by snail; please e-mail poetry submissions to zzajunique@hotmail.com  - but DO email us anything you have you would like published - we are sorely in need of more poetry, as some of our previous submissions got "lost" when my HD crashed last month.

This issue (# 90, only 10 away from my "goal" of 100 issues) features (at least) 6 albums that were reviewed from online sources (or what I'm acronyming as "DDR" (Digital Download Reviews)... I started advocating this method of review in the "way back when" stage (between 1990 and 1995; if you look at some of my rants from the earlier issues in the archive, you'll see those commentaries).  We WILL accept LINKS (do not ever "just send" the .mp3 files to my email address, or you'll be immediately blacklisted at this magazine) to products you would like us to consider for review.  I will usually listen through the tracks first, just to make sure it's something we want to have in our magazine... also, you MUST have the cover art, liner notes, etc., available online if you want to be reviewed this way.  As many readers know, the argument had always been that "digital" downloads were "substandard", & in the early days of compressed files, that was true to some degree... remember, the higher bit rates are better sound quality, & you want to present yourself to a reviewer with your "best sound forward".  Anyway, all you have to do is send me an email at zzajunique@hotmail.com to let me know you have something you have a product (full CD, not just one or two .mp3 files) in need of review... include the link to the download site & I'll get to it within one or two days (unless I'm out of town, which is rare these days).  Will look forward to hearing from you.  Promoters are welcome, too, so spread the word to those who are promoting your music for you!
